What’s a fantasy camp experience really like?
Well in part that’s up to you - after all, it’s your fantasy!
The 2025 camp will be held in Ft. Myers Fl. at the Player Development Center on the same fields used in spring training by most of our former major league players. This year the camp will be held from Saturday, January 25th - Sunday, February 2nd – a perfect time to get out of the cold and enjoy the warm weather and sunshine of Southwest Florida.
At the US Open Baseball Fantasy Camp you’ll dress each day in a professional locker room-alongside MLB greats. For 39 straight years (with the exception of 2021 due to COVID-19), we have provided Baseball fans with the ultimate fantasy camp experience. You’ll receive the same meticulous attention from our staff of trainers as the pro’s do to soothe those aches and bruises and a personalized major league uniform to be cleaned daily and hung for your next day at camp. Just bring your glove, spikes, athletic undergarments and a great attitude. Breakfast and lunch are served daily at the clubhouse.
The best aspect of our camp experience is meeting people who will become friends for a lifetime. Our slogan is “at our camp everyone is family.”
Any baseball fan thirty years of age or older is eligible to attend- regardless of age or ability. Female baseball fans are certainly welcome and of course there are separate locker room facilities. Play as little or as much as you like and play one position or all nine.
Our staff of major leaguers has included former MLB greats like Rick Dempsey, Greg Olson, Mike Bordick, Gary Roenicke, Tom Diedenfurer, Bobby Dernier, Ray Burris, Gary Allenson, Gary Bell, Oil Can Boyd, Tom Burgmeir, Mike Caldwell, Bill Campbell, Brian Daubach, Lenny DiNardo, Keith Foulke, Rich Gale, Rich Gebner, Richie Hebner, Bill Lee, Derek Lowe, Rick Miller, Steve Lyons, Rico Petrocelli, Jim Rice, Marc Sullivan, Luis Tiant, Rick Wise, Carl Yazstremski, Steve Crawford, Mike Torrez, Tim Stoddard, Mike Remlinger, Pat Dodson, Al Bumbry, Mike Devereaux and many more. They will serve as your coaches and managers (and drinking buddies as well!) during your time at camp. You'll hear great stories and gain an insight and appreciation for the finer points of the game from the pros themselves.
During the week we have three banquets, one of which involve a kangaroo court. We have other events which you can also participate in including a cigar night and a poker tournament. There will be a Q&A with the Pros and an opportunity to get pictures. At the final banquet, we will recognize the camp champions and award winners with a commemorative plaque and champion ring. There will also be an auction with all proceeds along with the money from the kangaroo court benefitting Warriors S.O.A.R.
What’s your investment for this unbelievable experience?
1st year campers the registration fee is $5239, which provides for double occupancy at the DoubleTree Bell Tower in Ft Myers, FL. Returning campers cost is $4739 (no uniform). Single rooms are an additional $900 for the week. A $700 down payment is due at registration, which is fully refundable up until December 1st of each year.
